Pevensey Bypass Crash Leaves One Dead

A man from Eastbourne has died after a head-on crash on the A27 Pevensey Bypass.

The 66-year-old's Vauxhall Corsa was in a collision with a Vauxhall Agila at 3.23pm yesterday (28 March). The air ambulance landed and he was treated by medics, but he sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the Agila, a 72-year-old man from Hastings, suffered serious injuries and was flown to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he is in a stable condition.

A third car, a Citroen C3, which was driven by a 62-year-old man from Hastings, hit the back of the Corsa and he was left with a minor injury, but did not go to hospital.
