A motorcyclist from Willingdon has been left with serious injuries after a crash on the A22 at Whitesmith.
It happened just after 10.30am yesterday (12 April) near Blackberry Farm, when his red Yamaha MT07 left the road as he travelled toward Uckfield.
The 50-year-old was taken airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with multiple fractures and is currently said to be in a stable condition.
The A22 was closed in both directions between the junctions with the B2124 Lewes Road at Golden Cross and Park Lane, near East Hoathly for several hours.
