Sovereign Lodge Care Centre in Eastbourne is hosting an Easter fete today (15 April).
Everyone is welcome between 11am and 4pm, with the Mayor also making an appearance.
A range of activities are on offer with something for all the family, including games, refreshments, a bouncy castle, a bake sale and musical entertainment. World famous chocolatiers Choccywoccydoodah have donated a hamper as a top raffle prize.
All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Residents’ Fund which helps provide additional activities and entertainment for the home’s residents.
Home Manager Caroline Soriano said, “We’re really looking forward to our Easter Fete this weekend. We have a packed day planned with something to entertain everyone, and we are delighted that the Mayor will be coming along to see the home and meet some of our residents.
“I hope that lots of people from the local area will come along to learn more about life at Sovereign Lodge and to join in the fun with our staff and residents.”
The care centre, which is part of the Healthcare Homes group, provides residential care and specialises in caring for those living with dementia.
Sovereign Lodge is based on Carew Road in Eastbourne.
