It's another win for the Eastbourne Eagles, in their opening away race of the season.
The flew home to victory 32-52 over Plymouth, with the result declared after 14 heats, owing to Eagle, Mattie Bates picking up an injury, when he fell in heat 15. The heat wasn’t re-run, with the result declared.
Bates is reported to have bang his back in the crash, promoting the meeting to be abandoned and there were concerns as he couldn’t feel his toes. Conor Dugard, team manager has since reported Mattie had regained the feeling and it's believed he will race tomorrow.
Club chairman Martin Dugard said, "I am very, very happy with the result. It was a great team performance. Everybody rode as we expected but we are still fine tuning."
