The Eastbourne Eagles head to Mildenhall on a high today (23 April).
After a 20 point victory in the league on Friday, the Eagles are now looking for more of the same, but this time in the National Trophy.
Team manager Connor Dugard said, “We went to Plymouth with the intention of winning. The lads were amazing and we took hold of the match and never let go.
“It is never easy at Mildenhall but we want to win the Trophy again, like we did in 2015.
“We are still improving and there’s more to come.”
Connor Coles will be missing for the Arlington outfit, as he will be riding for his Championship club, Newcastle, which has first call on his service. He will be replaced by guest rider, Jack Parkinson Blackburn, who rides for Birmingham.
Charley Powell is also unavailable, owing to a grass track meeting, which he signed up to last year. His replacement is yet to be announced.
However, Mattie Bates, who was taken to hospital after a crash on Friday, is fit and will ride.
Eastbourne won the National Trophy in 2015, but did not compete in the competition last year.
