An Eastbourne man, who plans Christmas all the year round, has confirmed which charity will benefit from this year’s festive lights display.
Richard Chapman decorates his parents’ home in Kingsmere every year, with over 50,000 bulbs used last year. He intends to make this year’s event even bigger and will be raising money for Chestnut Tree House with the display.
Abigail Harley, Community Fundraiser for Chestnut Tree House, comments, “We are really pleased that Richard has chosen to support Chestnut Tree this year. In the past year, we have cared for over 70 children with life-shortening conditions and their families in East Sussex, but we know that there are more who need our care. Richard’s support will help us raise the vital funds we need to reach these children as well as making more people aware of the help we can offer. We would like to say a big thank you to Richard and his family and we look forward to hearing how preparations are coming along.”
