The hunt is on for the owners of a cat found injured in Eastbourne.
The moggy was found in the Annington Road area by PCSOs on patrol and took her to Seaside Eastbourne Vets for treatment. Thought to be about 8-10 years old, she hasn’t been microchipped and has been named ‘Duchess’.
PCSO Raczynska said, “PCSO Kemp and I have been monitoring the cat’s progress and have been informed that Duchess responds well to the treatment given. She is receiving a lot of love from Eastbourne Vets and is very affectionate considering the injuries restricting her mobility. Unfortunately, she is not microchipped and her poorly state indicates that she might have been abandoned.”
If the cat is not reunited with their owners, officers are looking at ways of raising money to help treat Duchess in order for her to have a happy future of being rehomed.
