Eastbourne cricketer, Matthew Hobden’s been remembered by his Sussex teammates.
The 22-year-old fast bowler was found dead in Scotland in January.
A tree has been planted at the County Ground in memory of the former Eastbourne College boy, who was predicted to have become an England player.
Supporters, players and staff attended a ceremony yesterday (17 April) at the Sea End of the ground before the start of the County Championship match with Essex.
The Sussex side wore shirts named and numbered with ‘Hobden – 19’ in honour of Matthew.
