An Eastbourne charity is celebrating its 70th birthday.
The Chaseley Trust, based in South Cliff, is holding a series of events to mark their milestone.
Today (24 May) it’s hosting a special afternoon tea, with special guests including the Mayor and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex.
Chief Executive Lesley Standing said, "We are all very proud of what we have to offer here at Chaseley. We have seen a lot of change in the last couple of years and I am pleased to say that Chaseley is now in a very strong position.
"Because of this we thought it would be great to organise some celebrations for our 70th birthday.
"I am also very keen that the charity should be engaging with the community as much as possible, and this is one of many steps towards achieving that aim.
"We are delighted to have VIP guests but we also want to ensure that we are able to reach people who want to know more about who we are and what we do. Our doors are firmly open for the community to come and see us."
The Chaseley Trust, is a specialist nursing home, specialising for those with a neurological illness or disability offering long, short-term care and rehabilitation as well as day care too
It cares for adults over the age of 18 with a wide range of severe physical disabilities and has 55 bedrooms while also offering respite care.
