The Eastbourne Eagles have had to call off tonight’s meeting with Kent in the Knock Out Cup (3 June).
Arlington Stadium has been broken into overnight with their air fence blowers stolen – these keep the track’s safety barrier inflated.
Martin Dugard, the Eastbourne club chairman, said, "It's a blow. The team are riding really well and wanted to get the job done tonight, having established a valuable lead in the first leg.
"Clearly, in these circumstances we cannot race and an immediate decision was taken to postpone the tie.”
Eastbourne won the first leg at Kent's track on Bank Holiday Monday 48-42. A date for re-staging will be announced later.
