An Eastbourne fish and chip shop has raised £3,000 for charity in a day.
Qualisea in Terminus Road donated 50% of their profits taken on National Fish and Chip Day on Friday (2 June), to St Wilfrid’s Hospice and the JPK Project. They took the decision to fundraise, after the two good causes saw their collection boxes stolen from the takeaway counter at the restaurant last month.
As well as food sales, the company also raised money through a raffle on the day, with prizes including free fish and chips for a year, jewellery, golf sessions, champagne and lots more.
The owners would like to thank all the businesses who donated raffle prizes and all their customers who dined with them on the day to raise such a fantastic total.
