Parliament has returned, including Eastbourne’s newly elected Stephen Lloyd.
The Liberal Democrat, who previously represented the town between 2010-2015, re-claimed the seat last Thursday (8 June), with a 1600 majority over Conservative, Caroline Ansell.
On returning to the House of Commons, Stephen Lloyd MP said, "It was good to be back in parliament and nice to be welcomed back by so many of the staff, who, not a of people will know, do a tremendous job keeping the whole seat of government running smoothly, and are also terribly nice. It was kind of them to remember me.
“However, now it's down to business and getting to work on those key issues which affect our town. From the Southern Rail dispute to the Tories proposed cuts to school funding and many other issues in-between, I am determined to do what I always did; work ferociously hard for the good of Eastbourne, and put the town above party politics."
