Polegate MP, Maria Caulfield, has welcomed news that the Government is providing billions of pounds to improve the country’s road network through the National Road Fund.
Funded through Vehicle Excise Duty, the National Road Fund will provide billions of pounds to local authorities like East Sussex County Council to improve important A-roads under their management.
Maria said, “Recently we have had great news on both the A27 and the A259 at the Exceat Bridge, and the National Road Fund will give us even more chances to improve roads in East Sussex.
“I will be doing all that I can to ensure that roads in my constituency receives the money that they need for improvements. This in turn will improve the economy and create jobs in the local area.”
