There’s anger in Eastbourne as it’s revealed the cost of the failed Downland farm sale neared £200,000.

The proposed sale resulted in public backlash, with protests, a rally and finally a poll in the Eastbourne Review, which found the majority of people who voted would rather see cuts to frontline spending than the farmlands sold.

Figures, obtained by an Eastbourne Buzz reader under the Freedom of Information Act, has found the true cost of failed sale was £177,000, but what was that money spent on?
