It started out an epic battle in the fourth round at Wimbledon for Eastbourne’s Johanna Konta, but the British Number One is through to the quarter finals.
Facing Caroline Garcia from France, Jo had a tough first set, which went to a tie break, which the Brit managed to win 7-3, taking the set 7-6.
However, Konta’s serve was broken twice in the second set and she found herself trailing 1-5 at one point. Jo fought back and narrowed the gap, but couldn’t quite do enough to take the set.
The only break of the final set was when Konta was leading 5-4 and she found what she needed to break Garcia’s serve to take the match 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.
