Nostalgia is the word at Eastbourne Bandstand tonight (4 June) when ‘Summer Dreaming’ comes to the seafront; the greasiest homage to the bygone 1950’s American high school era when Elvis was King and all girls dreamed of becoming Prom Queen!
From the production company who brought ‘An Evening of Dirty Dancing: The Tribute Show’ to the Bandstand’s stage, comes this 90 minute trip down memory lane featuring classic hits such as ‘You're the One That I Want’, ‘Hopelessly Devoted’, ‘Stupid Cupid’ and many more.
To get in the high school teen spirit, audiences are highly encouraged to come in fancy dress and relive the good old days of jiving and high school hops, becoming fully immersed in this greasy extravaganza which features authentic costumes and iconic dance moves!
‘Summer Dreaming’ is the perfect place to find your inner Teddy Boy or Pink Lady, so come prepared to twist again, do the locomotion and leave feeling as exhausted as a hound dog.
An opportunity to reminisce about the good old high school days in a unique seafront setting such as Eastbourne’s Bandstand only comes once in a blue moon, so grab a ticket before they sell out – it’s the biggest night in the ‘high school calendar’.
