An Eastbourne trampolinist has notched up another medal – even with an injury.
Cameron Jones, who goes to Ratton School, competed in the British Gymnastics National Finals in Telford earlier this month, where he picked up a silver medal in the Disability Trampoline Finals National 1 Category 2.
He had a great warm up before going into the competition hall. In the competition hall, he had one chance to get the feel of the trampoline before competing. However, he managed to injure himself just before his turn in the competition and put his shoulder out.
After a bit of physio on his shoulder by his coach he went on to compete. After the first jump, he was placed third. He improved on this with his second jump moving up to second place overall and the Silver Medal position.
