Three power engineers from Eastbourne, Polegate and Crawley, have tackled their longest game of golf for a cancer charity.

Tony Ellis, Chris Avraam and Peter Ballenger, who work for UK Power Networks in Lewes and Polegate, have raised £1,200 by taking part in a 72-hole golf challenge on the longest day of the year at Cottesmore Golf Club, Pease Pottage, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Tony, an engineering team leader, said, “We all have friends and relations who have either had cancer and survived, live with cancer or have lost love ones from this terrible disease. We set ourselves a goal to collect around £400, but we have smashed our fundraising target.”
