A new Changing Places facility arrived in Eastbourne this morning (11 August).
As dawn broke over the seafront, a crane lifted the block, which cost £70,000, into position near the bandstand, where the old Enviro-Facts kiosk used to stand on the middle promenade. The only other Changing Places in town, is currently located in the Arndale Centre.
It will provide accessible facilities for the disabled, enabling older children and adults to be changed with dignity. There will also be an accessible toilet, shower and hoist.
