Eastbourne Bandstand is the backdrop for long-running BBC One programme, Songs of Praise today (12 August).
Filming will take place between 12-3pm and will be led by worship leader, Lou Fellingham, who is an internationally known worship leader and songwriter. She was the lead singer of Phatfish for almost two decades and is now six albums into a firmly-established career as a solo artist. This year, Lou released her latest album, ‘This Changes Everything’, recorded live at the Old Market Theatre in her native Brighton.
Series Producer Matthew Napier said, “This recording is a wonderful opportunity for local singers to come together for an afternoon of music-making for broadcast on BBC One. Songs of Praise has been championing Christian music for over 55 years and continues to be enormously popular due to recordings like these.”
