Parking meters on Eastbourne seafront will be turned off for this year’s Airbourne.
East Sussex County Council has confirmed charges won’t be in force because of the number of road closures that will be in place over the four-day event.
A spokesman said, “For this year’s Airbourne, the police have requested that a section of the main seafront road and some roads off it be closed to allow additional security measures be put in place.
“Unfortunately, we’re not able to enforce parking restrictions for a road that is closed, therefore the parking machines in this area of the seafront will not be operational during the closure and will be covered up.”
The following Temporary Road Closures will be in place during Airbourne (17- 20 August)
