A coffee morning, organised by a teenager from Polegate, raised over £600 for charity.
Nathan Dunbar, who’s 14, organised the event to support Alzheimer’s Research UK and notched up a healthy £642.50 for the cause. Dozens of people attended the morning, which was opened by the town’s MP, Maria Caulfield and Mayor, Councillor Angela Snell.
Last year, he raised over £400 for Macmillan Cancer Research and this summer, Nathan completed an abseil down the ArcelorMittal Orbit in London for Fight for Sight.
Maria Caulfield MP said, “Nathan is such a wonderful young man, often going out of his way to help raise much needed funds for charity. I was pleased to have been able to attend his coffee morning and help him raise so much money for Alzheimer’s Research UK, who I am sure will appreciate Nathan’s efforts.”
