The finishing touches are being put in place for this weekend’s Eastbourne Sunshine Carnival.
Saturday (11 June) is shaping up to be a packed day, with big screens arriving in Prince’s Park, showing live coverage of the Trooping the Colour: The Queen’s Birthday Parade at midday.
Road closures will come into force from 1pm for Silverdale Road to Bolsover Road and then along the seafront from 3pm. Sk8school will carry out a display, before a classic collection of bikes, including Harley Davidsons will warm up the crowds.
The carnival parade, which this year has the theme of The Queen’s Birthday, will start at 4pm at the Western Lawns and will go along to Prince’s Park, where there will be stalls and amusements.
After the parade, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory will be shown on the big screen in Prince’s Park at 6.30pm.
