A speedboat has overturned off the coast of Eastbourne this morning (20 August), prompting Airbourne safety boats, Eastbourne RNLI and Eastbourne Lifeguards to launch into action.
It happened off Holywell, with the sole person onboard pulled to safety.
The speedboat has been left with a gaping hole in the hull and has been beached at Holywell until low tide.
Shortly after, Eastbourne Lifeboat were sent to Cooden to assist a yacht with low fuel levels, to ensure it returned safely to Sovereign Harbour.
