Beginning a spectacular three days of entertainment on Eastbourne Bandstand, visitors have the opportunity to hear the musical legend, Phil Collins in the form of tribute act ‘Sussudio’. This unique show stopping act is here to entertain visitors for one evening only, on Friday (25 August) starting the bank holiday weekend off right.
Sussudio is a well-established tribute act, having been performing as Phil Collins for many years he has created an act like no other. The uncanny likeness to Phil Collins both in looks and vocal ability adds a sense of realism, taking the audience back to the 80’s to reminisce singing along to the hits that left a memory with them.
The tribute act pays respect to Phil’s music career by creating a performance which incorporates his many years as a successful solo artist, without forgetting the beginnings of his career with Genesis as the lead singer. The performance features some of Phil’s most well-known solo singles including ‘In The Air Tonight’ and ‘Sussudio’, alongside a touch of Genesis including ‘Mama’ and ‘Behind The Lines’.
Bringing the Soul to Saturday evening (26 August), ‘The Signatures’ will be performing on Saturday 26 August, the leading Northern Soul band within the UK. They express their own take on many classic Northern soul numbers, expertly managing to get the balance of both modern and authentic, creating a performance that takes visitors back in time with a 21st century twist.
The ten piece band originally formed in Essex has over 8 years’ experience performing together, priding themselves on their ability to portray their passion and energy across to the audience through every performance.
Bringing the weekend to a close, Eastbourne is being transformed into a ‘Night in Nashville’ hosted by Europe’s number 1 Dolly Parton tribute act Sarah Jayne and vocal impersonator Andy Crust.
The performance, on Sunday (27 August), will take visitors on a journey through country music history, featuring the likes of Kenny Rogers and Johnny Cash. With each act impersonating the country stars to an uncanny likeness, every detail is catered for providing audiences with an authentic performance.
