There’s a definite chill in the air at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park Theatre this summer as the murder mystery season ramps up the thriller factor with James Cawood’s Death Toll from 28 June to 2 July.
The third thriller in the Murder in the Park Season, this new play by Stone Cold Murder writer Cawood, mixes black comedy and shocks to reinvent the classic thriller genre.
At a desolate ex hunting lodge in the Scottish Highlands a famous playwright and his wife await the arrival of his new 'muse' - a charming and charismatic young actor determined to secure a role in the playwright's latest production. But what starts out as a seemingly innocent, though macabre audition soon leads to an evening of twists, turns and eventually murder.
Described as having more twists than a country lane, this nerve jangling night out will leave audiences guessing and beguiled right up to the final curtain.
The cast includes Tom Butcher (Doctors, The Bill), Corrinne Wicks (Doctors, Emmerdale) and Mark Martin (Dogs of War) and is part of the Talking Scarlet Murder in the Park thriller season which offers exceptional discounts when booking 3 or more of the 4 plays in the series.
