Eastbourne Man Who Died After Heathfield Crash Named

An Eastbourne man, who died after a crash in Heathfield, has been named.

Ben Cook, from Sorrel Drive, was airlifted to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton on Sunday morning (5 June), after a commercial pick-up truck hit a tree on the A267 at Little London.

The 25-year-old, who’d been a passenger, died from his injuries.

The driver, a 56-year-old man from Eastbourne, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been bailed until 22 September, pending further enquiries.
