Eastbourne fire crews were called out twice overnight.
Yesterday (4 September) at 7.48pm, two appliances were sent to reports of a kitchen fire in Cavalry Crescent. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one carbon dioxide extinguisher, one high pressure hose reel and one hose reel jet to tackle the accidental fire.
Then at 2.53am this morning (5 September), firefighters were called to Upperton Road, to a small fire in a kitchen, which was out on arrival. The crew carried out a home safety visit of the property.
