It was a busy day for Eastbourne Lifeboats yesterday (9 September).
They were called out at 12.30am to provide safety cover at Beachy Head, before returning to the station at 4am.
They were then called out again at 6.15pm to help a windsurfer in difficulty.
The inshore lifeboat found him half a mile off South Cliff Tower to Cow Gap, where he had drifted on the current. The windsurfer and his kit was returned safely to shore at the Wish Tower.
