The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne has appointed Stephanie Malvoisin as head chef of its award-winning Mirabelle Restaurant.
Stephanie joins the team at five-star coastal hotel The Grand after three years as head chef at Laura Ashley The Manor Elstree and seven years at The Goring. She also brings international culinary experience, having worked in hotel restaurants in France, Canada and the Caribbean.
As head chef of The Grand’s Mirabelle Restaurant, Stephanie will be responsible for producing creative menus for the 2 AA Rosette fine-dining restaurant.
Speaking after her appointment, Stephanie Malvoisin said, “The Mirabelle Restaurant has an excellent reputation and I am really looking forward to a new challenge. I’ll be bringing some classic French flair to the restaurant’s modern British menus, and I also look forward to mentoring the young chefs and apprentice chefs in the team.”
Jonathan Webley, general manager at The Grand Hotel said: “I am delighted to welcome Stephanie to the team at The Grand; she brings fantastic hotel restaurant experience from her past roles and her appointment will further enhance the Mirabelle’s standing as one of the leading fine-dining restaurants in the south. I would also like to wish our departing head chef, Gerald Roser, all the best for his retirement and many thanks for his years of hard work at The Grand.”
