Eastbourne Council Approve BID But No Date For Ballot

Eastbourne is to hold a ballot as to whether we have a Business Investment District or BID.

The Borough Council approved proposals for the questionnaire to go out to businesses and that they will fund the ballot, which will cost around £3,000.

The BID will ask companies if they would be prepared to pay a levy on top of their business rates, that will be used by the Chamber of Commerce, to help boost the town centre with events such as Neon Noel and helping to keep it an attractive venue for shoppers.
