Eastbourne Lifeboats were paid a visit by the town’s MP this morning (24 September).
Stephen Lloyd joined the crew and went out to see a training exercise.
Operations Manager, Carl Pocock said, “It’s great to have Stephen Lloyd here. It’s great that someone that’s involved with the town so heavily to get to experience the work of the RNLI Here in Eastbourne. We’re a busy station with over 100 call outs so far, this year and it’s always nice to have the support and the backing of your MP.”
Stephen Lloyd MP said, “It was an absolute pleasure to go out with Eastbourne RNLI this Sunday. The boat really is absolutely stunning and with 108 call outs already this year (88 in the whole of 2016) it needs to be!
“Thank you coxswain Mark and all the team for making me so welcome. I am enormously proud to represent a town like Eastbourne, which values its lifeboat service the way we do.”
