Can You Help To Identify Cyclist Who Died On The Cuckoo Trail?

Eastbourne Police are trying to identify a man who died on The Cuckoo Trail last week.

He was seen on the floor by his bike by a passer-by, near to Golden Jubilee Way at around 5.45pm last Wednesday (8 June). He was treated by paramedics, but passed away at the scene.

The man is believed to be in his late 60s or early 70s, 6', of medium build, with short grey hair, and no tattoos or identifying scars.

He was wearing brown shorts, a blue/green/yellow, checked, short-sleeve shirt and a fluorescent yellow jacket. He had with him a blue Raleigh bicycle and a white bike helmet

Coroner's officer Bob Greenall said: "The man had no physical injuries and we are not treating the death as suspicious.

"He had no form of identification on him, nor a mobile phone and no next of kin has yet come forward.
