We’re getting the chance to walk around Beachy Head Lighthouse.
Now in its fourth year, the ‘Lighthouse Challenge’ has been organised by the Rotary Club of Eastbourne AM in conjunction with the ‘Save the Stripes’ campaign.
It’ll take place on Sunday 3 July when the low Spring tide takes place at the right time and during daylight hours. It’ll start at the kiosk at the foot of the Downs by Bede’s school between 3-4.15pm and everyone who takes part, will receive a certificate.
The challenge was originally set up to raise funds to re-paint the iconic stripes on the lighthouse, after it was said it would be allowed to naturally return to its grey state. It now continues to collect funds, should the lighthouse need re-painting again and also to support various charities through the Rotary club.
