Eastbourne's All Weather Lifeboat, The Diamond Jubilee underwent her Spring Clean yesterday (21 April)

Aptly named after a royal occasion, she was scrubbed down on The Queen's 90th Birthday.

It took several hours to get her ready to return to the water, with lifeboat crews from Hastings and Newhaven on standby to cover and emergencies at sea.
