Fire crews from Herstmonceux and Hailsham were called to a crash on the A271 last night (7 July).
Police had to shut the road at the junction with the A269 between Ninfield and Boreham Street after two cars collided at 10.44pm.
A silver Subaru Forester, driven by a 52-year-old man from Brighton rolled as a result of the impact. The driver wasn’t hurt, but his passenger, a 38-year-old woman from Brighton, was left with minor injuries. The second vehicle involved was a blue Vauxhall Astra, driven by a 68-year-old man from Catsfied – he was also left with minor injuries, but neither went to hospital.
The road remained shut until 12.34am today (8 July).
