Southern Railway Warn Of Disrupted Travel

Friday 22nd April 2016

Southern Railway are warning of major disruption to services during next week’s strike action.

Southern, which serves Eastbourne railway station, says there will be no service running through to Pevensey and Westham, Bexhill, Hastings or Ashford International and a reduced service to Brighton between 7.30am and 6pm. There also won’t be services running to Seaford. Commuters needing to get to London Victoria, will have to change at Brighton, with trains expected to be very busy.

Conductor members of the RMT Union will be striking and passengers are being advised to check before they travel, as Southern cannot guarantee they will reach their destination.

Industrial action is planned for Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 April, Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 May and Thursday 12 and Friday 13 May.
