Eastbourne is paying its respects to those killed in France last night (14 July).
The flag at Town Hall is flying at half-mast in honour of the 84 people who died when a lorry raced into crowds out celebrating Bastille Day in Nice.
Councillor David Tutt, Leader of Eastbourne Borough Council,said, “This horrific attack on people celebrating Bastille Day is something to be condemned by everyone. Eastbourne, in common with communities around the world stands together with the people of Nice following this sickening event. Terrorism must never be allowed to win."
