Eastbourne Lammas Festival is returning for its 14th year later this month (30-31 July).
The festival on the Western Lawns, marks the cutting of the first corn crop, a traditional celebration of the harvest.
From 10am on the Saturday, Gong Scourers, Rampant Rooster and Black Swan Morris dancers will join Hunters Moon Morris and Pentacle Drummers, who’ll perform in the town centre. There will also be dancing on the pier from 11.30am. A procession will then go from the pier to the Western Lawns at 12.15pm.
On both days there will be stalls on the Western Lawns along with dancing and 1648 Brewery will have a special ‘Lammas Ale’.
The event will raise money for Eastbourne Lifeboats, who will carry out a sea demonstration at 11am on the Sunday.
