Eastbourne Borough FC are to play in a charity match for the NSPCC.
The Sports will take on Horsham FC at the Sussex County FA Headquarters in Culver Road Lancing on 2 August.
The game will raise funds for ChildLine, after the Sussex County FA pledged to raise £2,000 for the 30 for 30 initiative, which marks the helpline’s 30th year.
Ken Benham, Chief Executive of Sussex County FA, said, “We are very proud of our support for the NSPCC and being one of the 30 for 30 companies’ helps to focus our fundraising efforts. We hope, with the help of Sussex football, to exceed our target through a variety of events, kicking-off with our curtain raiser to the football season, the Sussex Community Shield.”
Tickets for the Sussex Community Shield match will be sold at the turnstiles on the day with prices ranging from £6 per adult, £3 concessions and £1 for children under the age of 16. It is a great opportunity for supporters of both teams to not only support their football club but to also help raise funds to support ChildLine.
