Saturday 23rd July 2016

eastbourne buzz news - David Payne

It’s thought a man, missing from Henfield, could be in Eastbourne, after police found his car in the town.

David Payne was last seen by his sister on Friday 15 July but wasn’t reported as missing until Wednesday (20 July).

The 57-year-old’s Ford Fusion has been found, but his yellow Nomad bicycle hasn’t. David is a keen cyclist and is used to long-distance rides, but concern is now growing for his welfare.

He is described as white, 5'9", of medium to stocky build, clean shaven and with receding straight white hair.

He may be wearing a blue shirt bearing a BikeMend logo - reflecting his job as a bike repairer - together with dark blue combat-style trousers.

Missing persons co-ordinator PC Mark Green said: "Please contact us if you have any information about David which may help us find him and ensure he is okay."

If you see David or have any knowledge as to his whereabouts please email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1883 of 20/07.
