Polegate’s MP has welcomed telecoms company EE’s commitment to the community, following a meeting in Parliament last week.
During the meeting, EE - who recently announced plans to bring 4G to 95% of the UK landmass by 2020 – confirmed that one of their masts located near the village of Plumpton had recently been upgraded, whilst they had just switched on 4G in Newhaven, via a mast in Denton.
Delivering on their commitment to communities, both urban, but more crucially rural, the representatives from EE have asked that communities in the constituency willing to consider taking part in the Parallel Wireless trial should approach their MP so that this could be further looked in to.
Speaking after the meeting, Maria Caulfield said: “It was great to be able to meet with representatives from EE and hear first-hand the commitment they have to connect communities through 4G.
“I very much welcome the plans that they have put forward, and would be very happy to put any communities within my constituency in touch with EE, should they wish to take part in their Parallel Wireless trial.”
